Who hardwood is for
Hardwood is a great fit for living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms, hallways, and stairs. It's ideal if you want a floor that adds value to your home and can be sanded and refreshed years from now. We also work in basements. Below ground, we'll talk through whether engineered hardwood or another floor is the smarter choice.
Solid or engineered?
Solid hardwood is wood all the way through. It can be sanded and refinished many times.
Engineered hardwood has a real wood top layer over a stable core. It handles changes in humidity better and can go in some places solid wood can't, like many basements.
Site-finished or prefinished? We install both.
Site-finished hardwood: we install unfinished wood flooring, then sand, stain, and finish it on site in your home. You can pick any color and sheen, and the finish seals the whole floor as one surface.
Prefinished hardwood arrives with the color and finish already applied at the factory. We install prefinished hardwood too, so there's no on-site sanding or finishing to wait for.

Why prep matters: subfloor and moisture
Most hardwood problems, like gaps, cupping, and squeaks, start below the surface. Before we install, we check that the subfloor is solid, flat, and dry. We test the moisture of both the subfloor and the new wood, and we let the wood adjust to your home's normal temperature and humidity when needed. Over concrete, we test the slab and use the right moisture barrier. We also leave room at the walls for the wood to expand and contract with the seasons.
Our process
Free consultation and estimate. We visit, measure, check your subfloor, and talk through options.
Selection. You choose your wood, width, color, and finish.
Prep. We protect your home, remove and haul away old flooring if needed (priced separately from installation), and fix any subfloor issues.
Installation. We install your floor carefully, with clean transitions at doorways and stairs.
Final walkthrough. We walk the floor with you and explain how to care for it.

We offer a 1-year warranty on labor.
